John Snow Labs Shortlisted for 2017-18 Cloud Awards Program

We are delighted to start this brilliant 2018 with awesome news: John Snow Labs is a finalist in the 2017-2018 Cloud Awards Program in two categories: Best Cloud Business Intelligence or Analytics Solution and Most Innovative Use of Data in the Cloud!

The Cloud Computing Awards program celebrates excellence and innovation in the rapid-growth cloud computing market. The awarding body accepts applications worldwide, covering the US, Canada, Australasia and EMEA. Organizations of any size are accepted for consideration in the program, including those from governmental bodies, start-ups and established multinationals.

In 2017-18, over 300 organizations entered, with entries coming from across the globe. Award categories include Best Cloud Solution, Best Software as a Service, Most Innovative Use of Data and Most Promising Start-Up.

John Snow Labs is among a handful of companies who are shortlisted in two award categories. The Data Lab is the only data science platform shortlisted for “Best Business Intelligence or Analytics Solution”. This is based on outstanding customer feedback and a proven, repeatable delivery process that takes organizations “from zero to production” with AI in 3 months.

John Snow Labs’ Data Library is also the only such service to be shortlisted for “Most Innovative Use of Data in the Cloud“. The library now provides over 1,700 expert curated datasets in healthcare and life science. Datasets are researched, curated, updated and supported by a team of expert clinicians, pharmacists, geneticists, public health and medical billing experts. Each dataset goes through three levels of quality assurance, comes with complete metadata & provenance, enriched and inter-operable via a shared type system with all other datasets in the library.

The founding team said: “For John Snow Labs, being shortlisted for the Cloud Awards is a recognition of our ability to consistently make our customers wildly successful. AI is a nascent, complex field requiring deep expertise in data science, software engineering, DataOps, data curation, security, privacy, and business transformation. We take delight in accelerating our customer’s journey to launch new data driven products and reshape their operations. It is an honour to be recognized as an industry leader in both of the categories we compete in. We thank our customers for the opportunity and trust. Our team is wholly committed to continued innovation, dedication and excellence on your behalf. We will do whatever it takes to make you successful.”

Cloud Awards organizer Larry Johnson said: “We have seen new levels of excellence in the submissions reviewed, and the judges have had great difficulty in categorizing those applications which should move further in the process. Indeed, virtually all of the entries scrutinised would be worthy of a place on the shortlist.”

The Cloud Awards will return with a new program in late 2018 to continue its recognition of excellence in cloud computing.
